Kerry was born and raised in LaVerkin. He married Patricia Barrick, who is from Hurricane, and together they have eight children. Kerry had a successful career in the insurance business and has served twice as the Mayor of LaVerkin. As a Funeral and Preplanning Consultant, Kerry enjoys helping people with their needs in the funeral business.

Kerry has been actively engaged in church service his entire life and greatly enjoyed serving twice as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kerry has served as a bishop and understands the pain and difficulty experienced by those dealing with the loss of a loved one.
