Timothy Allen Fresh

Timothy Allen Fresh, 72, Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Friend and “Papa”, passed away surrounded by his family on January 30th, 2025, at St. George Regional Hospital. Tim lived a very active and fulfilling life until the end. He was born in Los Angeles, California to Frank and Shirley May Fresh, February 26th, 1952. After he graduated from Glendale High School he attended Control Data Institute. Then Tim caught the travel bug and embarked on the trip of a lifetime. Starting in Mexico, he backpacked throughout South America and even got a job working on the archaeological site of Machu Picchu. Tim returned to the States and was making more plans to travel when he met the love of his life, Marie Elizabeth Barry, through Tim's brother Kevin. Tim and Marie were married on August 31st, 1980, in LA. They spent the bulk of their years together in North County, San Diego, California. Their home was a constant gathering place for friends and family. He worked as a CAD Designer for ViaSat for over 30 years before retiring to their dream home in Virgin, Utah, right outside their favorite family camping destination, Zion National Park. After retiring Tim loved to tell Marie every day that they can do whatever they want because they are ‘on vacation’. He enjoyed surfing the Carlsbad beaches, camping and hiking, playing guitar and rode his motorcycle daily. You could always find him listening to live music around a fire pit, meeting friends for good coffee and conversation, or just out for a cruise along the coastline or red rock canyons. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Fresh and their five children, Tiffany (Scott) Crabtree, Shaleen (Gabe) Brandt, Bethany (Steven) Jefferis, Sean (Alex) Fresh and Zachary Fresh, and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Rhonda Renzema, Glenn Heiser, Dan Fresh and John Fresh. Both of Tim's parents and his brother, Kevin Fresh, have preceded him in death. His legacy, integrity, and his steadfastness of love for God and his family will live on in all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held later this Spring.
