Malcolm D Hill

Malcolm D. Hill, age 34, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in St. George, Utah. He was born on March 22, 1990, in Brigham City, Utah, to Linda Hill and Eliot D. Hill. Malcolm served honorably in the Army National Guard from 2008 to 2020 with the 213th FED SPT Company. He was stationed in Kuwait and Iraq and served as a 91B wheeled mechanic. Malcolm was a natural leader, displaying exceptional abilities whenever given the opportunity. Awards Received: Army Commendation Metal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Metal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces and Reserve Metal. Malcolm grew up in La Verkin, Hurricane, and St. George, Utah. He attended Pine View High School and Dixie College. He married his first wife, Katherine Asmussen, at a young age for a short time. He later married his sweetheart, Melissa Hunt, on May 12, 2016, then divorced in 2024. Together, they raised two sons, Finn (7 years old) and Taz (2 years old). His greatest joy in life was his boys. He loved spending time with them—playing, going to the park, watching movies, swimming, gaming, fishing, and visiting places like House of Jump, the Children’s Museum, and Fiesta Fun Center. Malcolm loved spoiling them and cherished every moment with them. In 2018, Malcolm began working for Hedgehog Electric, managing the solar division. His coworkers were like family to him, offering support during difficult times. Malcolm is survived by his sons, Finn and Taz Hill; his mother, Linda Hill; and his sisters, Marisa Robinson, Kristelle Hendrickson, and Heidi Duffin. He is preceded in death by his father, Eliot D. Hill. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 5:30–6:30 pm at Forest Park, 1800 E 1030 N, St. George, Utah 84770. To reach the park, turn left on 1800 East, proceed three blocks to the parking lot, and follow the path to the grassy area by the duck pond. Please bring your own chair and possibly an umbrella.
