Janice Marie Clegg Miller

Janice Marie Clegg Miller left this world to join her sweetheart Hugh on March 22, 2026 Janice was born to her parents Daris and Betty Clegg. She was born in Oregon. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Granite high school and Salt Lake dental assisting college. She enjoyed many activities, football and basketball games at Granite high school. She was in a service club, Grainite at your service, singing and going to the school dances with her friends who loved go to SM skating ring, riding bicycles and other activities like 4HM, mutual, singing, dancing and putting on plays and programs in Salt Lake County Recreational; she played softball, volleyball and fun activities like dancing, bowling even hula she had many good friends and they all enjoyed the fun. Janice did a lot of babysitting which gave her a lot of enjoyment and a few coins in her pockets. The family loved to go camping and fishing and the great outdoors traveling to Idaho and Oregon. It was a good childhood Susan (her sister) and Janice were very close and loved being together. Her dad and mom came up with fun activities. They could all do together. Janice and Hugh were married in the spring of 1970s Sharla Rae was born in 1973. Rachel was born in 1974 and became their adopted daughter that they shared with her parents. They began their lives’ adventure together. They bought a house and began making it a home. Their motto was “Work hard and play hard harder”. Janice worked as a public servant in the Salt Lake County government working at the library, Salt Lake, County Health Dept, and recorder’s office. She retired with full benefits at 49-years-old. Hugh retired a few years later from the county in his 50s thus begin their retirement they love traveling they love traveling the western United States while they were working on many vacations. There were lots of good times in Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Wyoming and many others. The Oregon coast was one of their favorite trips, especially Bay in Oregon. It was fun to share memories with family and friends by their sides after their retirement. Hugh and Janice were snowbirds heading to Hurricane, St. George and further down the road Mesquite, Laughlin, Bullhead, Lake Havasu and winding up in Yuma. They loved exploring and they liked to spend time with family and make new friends as they traveled. Janice had many hobbies, crocheting embroidering, crafts with Sharla and Hugh. She loved helping decorate for the holidays and planting flowers in their yard, sewing and quilting. Janice and Hugh had three grandsons, Austin Taylor and Dylan. They enjoyed many activities, bicycle riding, nature walks, camping, fishing and her favorite, the holidays, Easter, Halloween including, pumpkin carving and Christmas. They got to enjoy watching many sporting games and events. Janice was able to see Taylor marry the love of his life Hannah and meet their two beautiful children, Jaxon, and Indiana. Janice was able to see Dylan marry the love of his life LaRae and able meet their beautiful daughter Eleanor. Just before Janice passed away, she was able to learn that Dylan and LaRae were giving her another Great granddaughter.
